For Peter Marchment, the kitchen isn’t just a workspace, it’s where he’s spent the last twenty years mastering the art of the perfect bite.

From the Danube to the Boardroom

Peter’s culinary spark was first lit at Guelph’s Danube Restaurant, where his mentor, Steve, showed him that cooking wasn’t just about following a recipe; it was about the craft of creating something truly delicious. That early passion led him to George Brown College to study Restaurant Management, followed by 14 years at the helm of the local favorite Capistrano Caffe & Bar.

As a co-owner and operator, Peter learned the “real world” of hospitality, navigating everything from the chaos of a busy lunch rush to the nuances of community engagement.

The “Insiders View”

After a successful exit from the restaurant world, Peter didn’t slow down. He dove into the grocery industry, gaining a rare “behind-the-scenes” look at the food supply chain. This experience gave him a unique edge: he doesn’t just know how to cook a meal; he understands the journey from the farm to your front door.

Why Yellow Handle?

Yellow Handle Meal Co. is Peter’s return to his roots, but with a modern twist. By blending his high-level business expertise with a lifelong love for getting his hands dirty in the kitchen, Peter has created a service that bridges the gap between restaurant-quality dining and at-home convenience.

Whether he’s in the boardroom or at the stovetop, Peter’s goal remains the same: feeding the community he loves with food that is intentional, honest, and incredibly tasty.
